We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Chris Jordan to the Veterinary Surgical Center of Portland Team! Dr. Jordan graduated from The Royal Veterinary College (RVC) in London, England, followed by two years in a primary care small animal practice, before returning to The RVC.
One of his many accomplishments includes a rotating internship in the internationally renowned Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, covering all aspects of small animal medicine, and lead to him being awarded a role with the surgery service. During his time at The RVC, Dr. Jordan contributed to cutting-edge orthopedic and musculoskeletal science research. Dr. Jordan completed his surgical training at a busy private clinic in England which led to him becoming a European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS) Diplomate and Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.
After finishing his surgical training, Dr. Jordan spent a number of years at Fitzpatrick Referrals in England which has an extremely high orthopaedic case load and has an international reputation for excellence and innovation in small animal orthopedics. Whilst at Fitzpatrick Referrals, Dr. Jordan gained exposure to a high number of routine, complex and tertiary referral surgical cases along with having access to some of the most advanced surgical equipment and procedures currently available.
Prior to joining VSCP, Dr. Jordan spent four years working at a referral clinic in BC, Canada where he provided referral surgical services to patients all over BC and beyond.
Dr. Jordan is extremely enthusiastic about all aspects of small animal surgery but when pushed, he expresses a particular interest in orthopedics.
